Route R1: CLIMBING UP TO THE WITCHES MOUNTAIN, PISA AND PLATIELLO

This begins at the A-2210 taking the route that goes to Llastre river, its lowest point. Once you cross the river climb to the Tozal de las Brujas wriggles which snakes through into a huge pine forest. After the Tozal de las Brujas, the ascent keeps going to Pisa hill (monte de Pisa), where there is a geodesic vertex. Following a short descent before the next climb of the day, you will reach Salinas de Hoz, where you can stop to drink some water in the nice fountain that is in the town square. Then climb steadily up to the Platiello Pass. From this moment on, you can relax just to enjoy the down back to Naval.
