The terrein of this route is to the North of Somontano’s one, where you leave behind the flats and soft hills to enter into a wilder territory which requires a better physical condition. The Sierra de Salinas (and Hoz de Barbastro) is called like that due to the many salted springs coming from the karstic system. This resource has been well used for people in the area, as you can see in La Rolda Salt Flats. In Naval you also will find the Pottery Visitor Centre and in Colungo the Cave Art (Paintings) Visitor Centre.
